The Divx codec allows divx export from all Quicktime compatible applications (ie export from a DV movie in iMovie). A new bundled application, Divx Converter brings divx encoding on mac (drag and drop, batch encoding, advanced settings) and includes an mp3 encoder. Finally this version adds support for the new .divx conainer format, that allows multiple audio tracks, subtitles, chapters (as with DVD).
