30-06-06 / 14:46 : MacOSX Internals (cjed) | Macnn reported the release of a new book about the underlying of MacOSX, MacOSX Internals, written by Amit Singh (see his blog, full of rare informations). Aspects covered are : the firmware, the bootloader, the Mach and BSD kernel components (including the process, virtual memory, IPC, and file system layers), the object-oriented I/O Kit driver framework, user libraries, Intel macs. It seems better understandable as Apple documentations, as it shows how all these elements fit together to make OSX. Moreover critics are great. | | Comments | Write a comment | |
