The required memory for patchs varies from 2Gb to 24 Gb ! The 4 Gb ram limitation on the mac version will be removed soon (on Leopard a non graphical 64 bits process can be used to load samples into memory and communicate with the main UI process - such technique is used in EastWest Play).
