 Best Service now ships String Essentials, a new samples library for Kontakt based on the work of Peter Siedlaczeks. Totalizing 17 Go, we find here 14 violins, 10 violas, 8 cellos and 6 contrabasses, recorded with 5 different lengths, 3 to 4 velocity layers and 3 mics positions (dry, normal, added natural reverb - surround compatible). Sound characteristics can be altered through Midi controlers, and it manages trills. A demo is here. The sound is very present, deep and warm, compared with metallic sounding of SO Gold one (even if judging from demos is difficult). Price is 349 euros (499 euros bundled with Complete Classical Collection). |
