 ThinkGeek sells "lightsabers" alla Starwars at 119$. Obviously the blade is not retractable nor removable, it's made of polycarbonate, but the glowing effect is progressive, from bottom to top. Moreover original sound effects are included, and they are dynamic (thanks to motion sensors).
