It is also recommended to launch manually the maintenance scripts, as they are scheduled at a time when the mac is probably off (3:15 am for daily and weekly scripts, and 5:30 am for monthly script). Instead using a frontend tool like Onyx, we can simply put these commands into the terminal (they are just wrapped by Onyx) : sudo periodic daily|weekly|monthly.
