 Nisus Software presented Nisus Writer Pro, that brings among new features table of contents and indexing. The software was very promising and modern when it appeared in mid nineties, however it now suffers from OpenOffice concurrence, free and now being ported to Aqua. |

| VMware Fusion is now features complete and the 1.0 Release Candidate 1 version can be downloaded. Preordering allows to save 50%, at 40$ instead of 80$. The support for 3D accelerated graphics is as for Parallels limited to DirectX 8.1 (however it manages Intel GMA950 chipset found on Mac mini and MacBook). |

 Perian, a QuickTime component that brings additional codecs and container formats, is available in final 1.0 version. It notably manages MKV (Matroska) container and SRT subtitles. Then it is a good alternative to VLC, that allows to keep QuickTime Player to open all formats. |
