| Thinksecret expects Apple to provide soon after Leopard a new version of WebObjects, 5.4, that could be available as opensource. It would be closer to J2EE (use Java NIO for threads, and so brings a performance gain factor up to 5, and use Java Management Extensions for monitoring). Finally WO would use more XCode. For now there is an Eclipse plugin making it easier to develop for WO, WOLips. There is another great tutorial here. |

 Until september 6, Bryce 5.0 can be downloaded for free on the editor site (through download.com) for Mac (however it is incompatible with Tiger) and Windows. Once registered, a special price will be offered for the next version of the software (last version is 5.5).It leads to the question, where is Eric Wenger now, the famous author of this revolutionnary software (and founder of its original editor Metacreations, that solds Bryce many years ago)... |
