 Line 6 provides for free until September, 30, the POD Farm plugin (AU/RTAS/VST, iLok licence), that features 42 guitar amps and cabs, 10 bass amps and cabs, 29 stompboxes and effects, 6 mic preamps, Dual Tone. To install it we have to click on the Download POD Farm for iLok link, then on Generate button, enter the iLok account login, and wait about 10 minutes (waiting spinner in the browser page, and in a later blank page). Finally a new page loads, asking for logging to www.ilok.com to transfer the new licence to the iLok USB key.There is still to download the plugins (137 Mb) here (click on Go button and search for Pod Farm) |

| NI presented Kontakt 4. Besides recent enhancements brought by Kontakt 3.5 to the audio engine, the new version adds a dynamic samples modeling technique (Authentic Expression Technology - that reminds similar technologies from Roland and Yamaha), new impulse response (300), extended settings for performance views, script processor enhancements, search by attributes, lossless samples compression (50% space saved and reduced load time), 10 Gb additional samples content (the library is now 43 Gb) : Choir collection that uses Authentic Expression Technology, two registers of VSL KonzertHaus Organ, solo VSL strings, Vintage (including Mellotron), Band (jazz, funk, rock - including all sounds from Elektrik Piano) and World (see details here). Kontakt 4 will be available October, 1, and the upgrade from a previous version will cost 149$. Absynth 5 and Komplete 6 have also been announced (Komplete 6 includes KONTAKT 4, ABSYNTH 5, MASSIVE, FM8, GUITAR RIG 4 PRO, BATTERY 3 and REAKTOR 5 for only 339$). The whole NI products are compatible with Snow Leopard, however 64 bits testing won't start until a 64 bits sequencer/host is available (and will require updated audio interfaces drivers). |
