Aspyr just published a presentation page of Sims 2 Pets live, expected this november on OSX. This expansion allows to add breeds and even to personally design them. And the good news is that the minimum requirements are not high (1,2 Ghz processor, Radeon 9000 compatible, 32 Mo VRAM only required).

Macworld provides a review of Pangea Arcade. As expected they also liked more Nucleus and Warheads (cool with anaglyph glasses) than Firefall.
Besides Pangea Software now gives a free download link for the old game Weekend Warrior.

Barefeats reports that performances in games are better since the OSX 10.4.8 update, that brings multiprocessing support in OpenGL. Doom3 is notably the only game ready to take advantage of this.

IMG reported the configuration that allows to run Half Life 2 on a Mac Intel through the beta version of CodeWeavers CrossOver (that is without having to quit OSX). A resume is here. Finally it is obvious that it is easier to restart to Windows (also leads to better performances).
